The Presencing Institute is thrilled to officially announce that John Heller has been appointed to the position of PI Chief Executive.  John will be joining PI in mid-October 2022, working closely with PI Founder and Chair Otto Scharmer, to guide the Presencing Institute at this critical moment in history.

John’s understanding and commitment to the unique qualities and potential of PI and the vision of u-school will bring energy, ambition, and new capacities to the core team to help mobilize the necessary resources for the next wave of our work.

John comments: “I come to PI because it is endowed with the consciousness, approach and tools to shift the path we are now on. I come to PI because it is a community that both believes in a better future and knows how to get there.  I come to PI because it is an ecosystem of love and hope.”

John Heller can boast a multi-decade career of service across multiple countries ranging from micro-finance in South Asia, agricultural transformation in Nigeria, indigenous people rights in Western Canada, renewable energy across Africa, to water and sanitation globally.

John has held senior leadership positions in the global non-profit space for over 20 years, overseeing the expansion of Little Sun, a social enterprise dedicated to affordable access to clean energy in Africa, and heading up key global initiatives while serving as Senior Director at the Synergos Institute.

“We are grateful and excited as we look towards the unfolding of the next chapter of our journey with John, in our quest to find a better path forward for humanity and the natural world through collective action and awareness-based work to transform complex systems.”  Otto Scharmer
