Content Policy
Read below the Presencing Institute and u-school Content Policy
The u-school for Transformation and the Presencing Institute (the governing body that manages u-school and other initiatives supporting awareness-based systems change) believe that the tools of transformation should be available to everyone. Most of our tools are offered for free under a Creative Commons license to ensure accessibility, regardless of one's ability to pay. At the same time, we must respect the work of the authors, artists, and professionals who collaborate with us. These guidelines clarify how to credit and use our logos, content, and materials.
Please review the following guidelines:
Creative Commons Tools
Any tools or resources marked with the Creative Commons (CC) symbol are shared under the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike 3.0 Unported License. This means:
- You are free to share (copy, distribute, and transmit) and remix (adapt or build upon) these tools, even for commercial purposes.
- Any new work based on these tools must also be shared under the same license, allowing others to use them too.
This applies to most of the action learning tools listed on this page: https://www.u-school.org/resources.
We kindly ask you to:
- Attribute the work to the Presencing Institute.
- Distribute any resulting work under the same, similar, or a compatible license if you alter, transform, or build upon the original work.
- Make the license terms of the work clear to others:
- For online content, add: “CC License by the Presencing Institute”, with a link back to this page: https://www.u-school.org/contentpolicy
- For offline or printed materials, add: “This work is licensed by the Presencing Institute”.

Programs and Other Content
While some of our programs and offerings are free to access, please note that all other content, including but not limited to:
- Videos
- Course materials
- Website displays
- Books, research papers, and other publications
cannot be copied, distributed, or used for any purposes outside of personal learning and growth without prior permission.
We are committed to making our transformative tools accessible to all changemakers for free. However, we believe it's essential to provide the full context for their use. If you would like to share, please direct others to the appropriate registration links.
In summary
To help you understand what you can share and remix, look for the CC symbol next to any tool or resource. If a tool has this symbol, it follows the Creative Commons rules mentioned above. If there is no CC symbol, the material is part of our restricted content and cannot be shared beyond personal learning.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, please reach out to: support@presencing.org.
