Everyday Moments: A Special Video Message From Arawana Hayashi
Can You Feel Your Embodied Presence In The Everyday Moments Of Life?
"The challenges of our time require bold action based on deep wisdom and care. Each of us has wisdom and boundless capacity to love our natural world and to co-create a good human society. We also need teachings, practices and each other to do this. We need daily practices that bring forth clarity and warmth that live in us individually and collectively - activities that nurture our innate creativity. The beauty of daily activities can remind us that everyday living is a creative process."
Arawana Hayashi, Social Presencing Theater, The Art of Making A True Move
If you're reading this, know that this message has been made, just for you.
In the midst of our busy, everyday lives, whether walking on the street, going to the supermarket or even in our schools, universities and places of work - it can be challenging to remember to be fully present, moment-to-moment.
In this short, special video message from Social Presencing Theater Founder, Arawana Hayashi, we are reminded that our bodies exist "between the earth and the sky." That there is a "spaciousness," surrounding us, no matter the environments we find ourselves in.
It is easy to become caught up in "thinking about this and that," and to not be fully present to each moment as it arises.
As Arawana shares a glimpse into her world, the invitation is for you "remember the body," to drop into greater presence, awareness and attention (even whilst listening to this recording with the sounds of traffic passing by in a busy neighbourhood).
- Can you feel YOUR embodied presence in this moment right now?
- What are YOU noticing?
- What are some of the ways in which YOU access your embodied presence in your everyday lives?
We'd love to hear from you. Please do share any thoughts, feelings or reflections that arise in response to this video and post in the comments below.
