Social Presencing Theater
4D Mapping Online Training
A training program designed to teach you how to use a tool that enables geographically dispersed individuals, groups, and teams to develop a shared understanding of their current reality
and potential future opportunities.
Supporting systems evolution anywhere
4D Mapping, a cornerstone of Theory U and Social Presencing Theater (SPT) practices, is designed to inspire and support emergent transformational change. Tapping into embodied creativity and collective wisdom, this powerful practice helps us uncover deeper structures that keep systems stuck
and identify potential leverage points for systems evolution. It is now fully available
online, making it accessible to geographically dispersed teams and individuals.
Learning to use the
Virtual 4D Space
The Virtual 4D Space enables geographically separated individuals, groups and teams to create a shared view and understanding of their current reality and emerging future potentials. By visualizing important spatial data of relationships among stakeholders the Virtual 4D Space enhances
our ability to see and sense a system in virtual settings.
What this program will provide
This program focuses on learning to adapt the 4D Mapping practice to various social and organizational contexts and challenges in virtual settings.
Facilitating 4D Mapping Online requires a high skill level and a team of two or three people to prepare and hold the virtual space while maintaining the embodied quality and attention of the participants, making it part of a transformation process.
In this program, you will learn:
- How to facilitate Online 4D Mapping using Presencing Institute's New Virtual-4D-Space for professional settings - understanding the roles of the holding team: Process Facilitator, Tool Host, and Zoom Host
- Engaging in hands-on practice sessions and real-world case studies
- How to guide a systemic inquiry for clarification of intention and stakeholder role selection
- The core principles and assumptions of Social Presencing Theater (SPT) and Theory U within 4D Mapping
- Skills for collective sensemaking and utilizing the automated report and its data to identify leverage points for transformation
Upon completion of the program, you will receive:
- Gain your own free 6-month unlimited access to the "Virtual-4D-Space"
- The opportunity to join a global community of practice for 4D Mapping Online, to collaborate with peers to deepen your understanding and skills
This course will be taught virtually using zoom with a total of 5 hours including breaks
(8:00 am to 1:00 pm EDT).
